Mary F. Caicco Zitello, 1933-2022

She was born Jan. 4, 1933, in Youngstown, to the late Carmen and Rose Alice Caicco.

Mrs. Zitello was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, where she had been an administrator of the Prebaptismal Program. She was a lifetime member of the Christ Child Society, was a founding member of the Garfield Garden Club, and a member of Il Convivio. She loved gardening and cooking, and she had managed a gourmet cooking group.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Stanley F.; daughters, Diana Rose (David) Vuicich and Marianna (Joseph) Seeholzer; sons, Stanley M. (Alene) Zitello and Sean (Patricia) Zitello; grandchildren, Matthew (Audrey) Vuicich, Sarah (Nick) Novak, Christina, Stanley V., Katherine, Dante, Violet and Valena Zitello, and Larkin (Julie) Swartz; six great-grandchildren; and brother, James Caicco. Her family was the focus of her life; they brought her great joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ida Fadell; and brother, Anthony Caicco.

A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 8560 Mentor Ave. Mentor, OH 44060. Please meet at the church.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.

Interment will be in Mentor Cemetery.
