Carmella Protain 1927-2022
WEEKI WACHEE, Fla. — Carmella Calzo Protain, 95, died Friday, July 22, 2022, at Noble Senior Living in Florida.
She was born April 29, 1927, in Youngstown, the daughter of Michael and Rose Deniro Calzo.
Carmella was employed for many years as a elevator operator at Bank One, until it was updated.
Carmella was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Roseann Prachick of Florida; granddaughter, Renee Prachick; four great-grandsons, also of Florida; and a brother, Raymond Calzo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Protain; a daughter, Barbara; and son, Edward.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, at Calvary Chapel in Youngstown, followed by a luncheon at Eat’n Park restaurant in Austintown.
