Benjamin H. Vaughan IV 1959-2022
McDONALD — Benjamin H. “Benny” Vaughan IV, 63, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
He was born April 2, 1959, in Youngstown, the son of Benjamin Vaughn III and Carole Bacon Nelsen.
He was a graduate of Chaney High School and attended Youngstown State University. Benny enjoyed sports of all kinds. He was a high school football referee when he resided in Florida, as well as locally, in recent years. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Benny is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carole Bacon (Keith) Nelsen of Youngstown; sister, Bonnie Vaughn of Middletown; stepsister, Angela Perkins of California; stepbrother, James Nelsen of California; and a longtime special friend, Michelle Volansky of McDonald and her son, Randy.
He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Benjamin III (Nancy) Vaughan; brother, Scot Vaughn; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A private burial will take place in Glenview Cemetery in East Palestine at a later date. No public services will be observed.
