R.C. Barnes 1934-2021

He was born Dec. 17, 1934, in Waynesboro, Pa., a son of Robert and Ann Sullivan Barnes.

He is survived by his children, Ronald Clifford Barnes Jr., Rhonda Kay Barger-Jannetti (Guido), Carolyn JoAnne Barnes, Alan Scott (Trish) Barnes and Billie Jo Barnes; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Sandra Barnes (Willys) Smith, Roger (Diane) Barnes, Russ (Diana) Barnes, Michael (Viola) Barnes and James Lee Wilson.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by six of his 11 siblings; two of his seven children, Donald Clayton and Michael Patrick; and one great-grandchild, Solomon Joseph Smolko.

R.C. became a long-haul trucker at an early age and spent his life on the road. He loved country music and the great open country of Idaho, where he lived a great portion of his life. His ashes will be taken to Idaho and placed at rest on his family plot.

There are no services or calling hours.
