POLAND -- Emilio M. "Emil" Tondy Jr., 91, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, at Woodlands of Hampton Woods.
Emil was born June 14, 1930, on the East Side of Youngstown, son of the late Emil Sr. and Nancy D'Amico Tondy.
He was a graduate of East High School, a Korean War Veteran, a homebuilder, and later joined his brother at Atlas TV in Youngstown.
Emil was a dedicated family man, proud dad, grandpa and great-grandpa.
Emil is survived by a brother, Vince of Cleveland; two daughters, Joanne Puskarcik and Jocelyn (Vince) Peyko of Boardman; four grandchildren, Lisa (Tom) Schar of Mountain View, Calif., Dr. Vinnie (Meagan) Peyko of Canfield, Dr. John (Ashley) Peyko of Boardman and Gina Peyko (fiance, Keith Vella) of New York City; and six great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Penelope, Evelyn, Cecilia, Stella June and William.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine; and his parents.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at St. Luke Church in Boardman, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial, with the Rev. Matthew Hummerickhouse officiating.
The 6-foot rule will be honored and masks are mandatory for calling hours and Mass.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue, Boardman.
