Betty A. Adams 1936-2021

NORTH LIMA -- Betty A. Adams, 85, formerly of Boardman, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Tuesday morning, Nov. 16, 2021, in the comfort of her home.

Betty was born March 15, 1936, in Summerville, Pa., a daughter of Milo and Mabel Flack Spare.

Raised in Pennsylvania, she was a graduate of Summerville High School. After graduation, Betty worked for a local card shop until she married Ronald L. "Daisy" Adams, on Dec. 3, 1955. After her husband returned from his military service during the Korean conflict, they relocated to the Mahoning Valley. Betty worked doing private cleaning in area offices, but she was primarily a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Betty's biggest joy came from being a wife and she adored taking care of her husband, which she has missed so much since his passing Aug. 23, 2012.

Betty was active in her children's activities when they were younger and served as a Bluebird leader. She was a longtime member of Evangel Baptist Church, where she enjoyed being a part of the hospitality committee, helping with many church dinners through the years. Some of Betty's favorite pastimes included cooking for family and friends, reading cookbooks, camping and gardening.

Betty is survived by daughters, Kathy (Chris) Lovrinovicz of North Lima, with whom she made her home, Rebecca (Scott) Adams of Youngstown and Laurie Platz of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Joshua (Elizabeth) Lovrinovicz, Erin (Randy) Hatala, Samuel Lovrinovicz and Michael Kopnitsky; stepgrandchildren, Natasha, Brandon and Mikayla Flak; and great-grandchildren, David, Abigail and Aurora, Arabella and Nora, and Amber and Lily.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Simpson; and son-in-law, Kirk Lovrinovicz.

Per Betty's wishes, there will be no calling hours or service. Interment took place next to her husband in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions to Second Harvest Food Bank, 2805 Salt Springs Road, Youngstown, OH 44509.
