Donald L. Bozick 1941-2021
SILVER LAKE, Calif. — Donald L. Bozick, 80, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, after a yearlong illness.
Don was born May 6, 1941, in Youngstown, to the late Nick and Nell Bozick. He was a graduate of East High School, Class of 1959, going on to Carnegie Mellon University, Class of 1964, bachelor of fine art degree.
He moved to New York for a short time before landing in Los Angeles, a city he truly loved and was proud to call his home.
He was a member of the California Board of Realtors, working for Sotheby’s International Realty, where he stayed for 53 years selling properties up and down the California coast, but his most-cherished time was entertaining his friends and neighbors at his “home on the hill,” as he described it.
Don was a world traveler, from Scotland to Africa and all the countries in between. He volunteered extensively throughout L.A. delivering food and clothing to the homeless, and was a member of AA for some 60 years, something he cherished deeply.
He is survived by his brothers, Ken of Poland and Bob (Andrea) of Las Vegas; a niece, Alison (John) Bartko of Las Vegas, and their children, Abbey, Emily and A.J.; and a nephew, Robert Jr. of Washington, D.C. and Houston, Texas.
Private services were held at Forest Laws Funeral Home, Glendale, Calif.
