AUSTINTOWN — Diane L. Schrum, 64, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at Omni West Assisted Living.

She was a volunteer bingo caller at Omni West and a dedicated member of the Junior Group of Goodwill. Diane will long be remembered for her sense of humor, thoughtfulness and grit.

For the past 20 years, Diane entered a latch hook wall hanging into competition at the Canfield Fair and won a ribbon every year. She enjoyed bingo, latch hook, word search and jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid supporter of the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA team.

Diane will be sorely missed by her many friends and family, including sisters, Barb (Paul) Metzendorf of Howland and Kathy (Ron) Gerberry of Austintown; brothers, Jim (Cindi) Schrum of Greensboro, N.C., and Tom (Sharon) Schrum of Pinellas Park, Fla.; 11 nieces and nephews; 25 great-nieces and great-nephews; and many cousins.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; eldest sister, Ruth Schrum Trask; grandparents, Thomas and Della Schrum, and John and Ruth Boyer; her beloved Aunt Elizabeth Boyer; and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
