Curtis M. Kennedy 1965-2021

Mr. Kennedy was born Feb. 17, 1965, in Youngstown, a son of James B. Sr. and Josephine Hudson Kennedy. He was a graduate of The Rayen School. He had been employed by Youngstown City Hall and Community Corrections Association as a security guard. He loved sports, playing cards, jazz and being with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, with whom he made his home; a son, Aaron Kennedy; and his brother, James B. Kennedy Jr., all of Youngstown; a niece, whom he helped rear, Chmicka Kennedy of New York; two grandchildren, Jasmine and Marshall Kennedy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, George E. Kennedy; and a sister, Ladonna Jean Kennedy.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home. Due to the pandemic and for the safety and health of others, guests are required to wear masks, practice social distancing and are asked not to linger at the funeral home after viewing.

Private services for family only will follow at 11 a.m.
