Barbara H. Tschantz 1936-2021

She was born May 25, 1936, in Youngstown, to the late, Stanley and Hattie Schenck Clingerman.

Barbara retired in 1991 from Youngstown City Schools, where she had taught for 31 years. She was a member of Canton Calvary Nazarene Church and more currently attended New Covenant Church of the Nazarene in Youngstown.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl H. Koby, in 1992; her second husband, Warren D. Tschantz, in 2015; and brothers, Richard, Kermit, Quentin and David Clingerman.

Survivors include her brother, Stanley (Paula) Clingerman of Poland; her sister, Doris Irons, formerly of Boardman; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Reed Funeral Home, Canton Chapel, 705 Raff Road SW, Canton, OH 44710, with Pastor Michael Adkins officiating. Calling hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
