Geraldine M. Stevens 1937-2021

She was born Nov. 20, 1937, in Loveland, Colo., oldest child of the late Beuford Lytle and Ila Cynthia Hart Whiteside. She came with her husband to Canfield in 1995.

Gerry earned a bachelor of science degree in interior design from the University of Missouri. She was an interior design consultant and a substitute teacher. She was a member of the Canfield United Methodist Church and PEO, a philanthropic organization that supports the college education of women. She was an accomplished seamstress, a gourmet cook and an avid hunter of deals at garage sales and auctions.

She leaves Charles A. Stevens, husband of 63 years; son Carl C. (Esther) Stevens of Silver Spring, Md.; daughter, Kristine K. Stevens of Chagrin Falls; and grandchildren, Isaac C. Stevens and Lily R. Stevens.

She was preceded in death by a son, James J. Stevens.

Geraldine also leaves a sister, Melone Jackson of Evans, Colo.; and brothers, Alan Whiteside of Livingston, Mont., and Michael Whiteside of Loveland, Colo.

In lieu of flowers, the Stevens family prefers memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, 9803 Sharrott Road, Youngstown, OH 44514.

A celebration of life service will be held in Loveland, Colo., later this year.
