Anna Marie Kosek 1940-2021

WELLSVILLE — Anna Marie Kosek, 81, passed away suddenly Friday, July 23, 2021, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

Born in Youngstown, on June 25, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Connolly. She was a member of Rayen High School Class of 1959 and moved to this area in 1965. Along with her husband, she operated Ann’s Glenmoor Superette. Anna Marie had a strong faith and would recite the Rosary daily. She was a member of St. Aloysius Parish, where she was active in Christ Renewals and helped organize polka Masses. She was a member and past president of the West Point Lions Club. She loved to support her family and was always involved in school activities, from the Booster Clubs to her time on the Beaver Local Board of Education.

She is survived by her husband, Bernie Kosek at home. The couple married Aug. 31, 1962. A daughter survives, Shannah Scotch and her husband, Steve, of Columbiana; and two sons, Keith Kosek and his wife, Tracy, and Kevin Kosek and his wife, Mary Jo, all of East Liverpool. There are four grandchildren, Shayne Kosek, Kameron Kosek, Whitney Kosek and Klayton Kosek; and three great-grandchildren, Kayden Kosek, Karson Kosek and Braxton Barnhart.

Family and friends may visit Monday evening at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. A private family funeral service will be conducted Tuesday.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
