Shaquala M. Hopkins 1992-2021

Affectionately known to her family and friends as “Quala,” she was born July 7, 1992, a daughter of Sherese Tomlin and Norman Hopkins.

She attended East High School and was employed at Briar Field Manor. She was a loving mother who adored her children.

She enjoyed spending quality time with her friends and was always there to for her family. She loved the color purple and was known as the “Purple Goddess.” Her fun-loving personality and caring spirit will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving parents; her siblings, SharLynn and Sherese Hopkins, and Mello Grabe; her children, Vaira Johnson, Dior Thompson, Lauren Thompson and Beledai Thompson; her fiance, Devin Thompson; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

A homegoing celebration in her honor will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021, at noon at the Jaylex Event Center, 2110 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown.
