Mary Lou Faiver 1929-2021

GIRARD — Mary Lou Faiver, 91, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Hospice House in Poland after a brief illness.

Mary Lou was born Nov. 8, 1929, in Girard, the daughter of Marshall A. and Caroline Applegate Faiver Sr.

Mary Lou retired from the U.S. Steel McDonald Works as a scheduler. She was a lifelong member of First Christian Church in Girard, where she had served as a trustee and had served on many other committees. She had played for the Hubbard Girls Fast Pitch Baseball League and had started the Par Bell Golf League in Hubbard.

She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Jean Anne Pinti, Connie (Carl) Malito, Bonnie (James) Santagata, John (Cindy) Yaksich, Michael (Jona) Yaksich, Chris Faiver, Carolyn Faiver, Susan (Fred) Noday and Marsha (John) Morabito; her sister-in-law, Joyce Faiver; 36 great-nieces and -nephews; 76 great-great-nieces and -nephews; seven great-great-great-nieces and -nephews; and her beloved dog, Megan.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Vera Yaksich and Florence Faiver; her brothers, Frederick Faiver, Eugene Faiver, Marshall Faiver Jr., Wade Faiver and Howard Faiver; nephews, Dick Faiver and Tom Brown; and niece, Janet Gasser.

Per Mary Lou’s wishes, there will be no services.
