Edna Mae Vazquez 1948-2021

YOUNGSTOWN — Edna Mae Vazquez, 72, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, following an extended illness.

Born Sept. 9, 1948, in Cincinnati, she was the daughter of William Finney Sr. and Theodore Green.

Edna Mae graduated from East High School and was employed as a nursing home aide and with the Youngstown Developmental Center.

A member of Christian Revival Discipleship Center (CRDC), Edna enjoyed drawing, painting and listening to music, especially R&B.

Edna is survived by her children, Equilla (Anthony) Robeson of Youngstown, Tamika (James) Tankersley of Columbus, Allen (Amber) Vazquez of Pittsburgh and Talasia Vazquez of Youngstown; a brother, William (Theresa) Finney Jr. of Youngstown; 10 grandchildren; special friend, Betty Telfair; nieces; nephews; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mildred Dubose.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14, 2021, at Christian Revival Discipleship Center, 3300 Hudson Ave., Youngstown, with homegoing at noon and family visitation one hour prior at 11 a.m. The Rev. Kenneth Paramore, pastor, will officiate.

Masks are required and social distancing will be upheld for both services.
