Adeline Tavolario 1929-2021

HUBBARD — Adeline Tavolario, 91, affectionately called Lilly, died Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

Lilly was born Aug. 1, 1929, in Youngstown, to Carmine and Faustina Tavolario. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Andrew Tavolario and Jack Tavolario; and sisters, Rose Tavolario, Toni Mullin, and Maggie Rozzo; also, her faithful dog companions, Sherry, Cindy, Missy, Gigi and Dolly. Lilly left four generations of nieces and nephews, always remembering cards on their birthdays.

Lilly graduated from North High School in 1948. She was a licensed practical nurse at Saint Elizabeth Hospital, caring for children. Her loving and caring attitude proved to be a lifelong passion as she cared for multiple family members, including her sister, Rose, her mother and father, and later in life, her sister, Maggie. Family was always a love and priority. This influenced Toni’s daughters, Kara and Toni, to care for her in her later years.

Her attention to detail made her a diligent bookkeeper as she worked for Benedict Dental Supply, then the Doris Burdman Group, retiring in 1989.

In her retirement years, she made her home with her sister, Maggie Rozzo. These two beautiful Catholic ladies were inseparable until Maggie’s death in 2009. She was an active member of Saint Patrick’s Parish in Hubbard, participating in the Altar and Rosary Society and Disciples of Mary. She frequently volunteered at Saint John XXIII Nursing Home, visiting the elderly. Lilly was also a dedicated pizza worker at Saint Anthony’s for many years.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2021, at Saint Patrick Parish in Hubbard. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the mass.
