Richard L. Patrick 1931-2021
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Dr. Richard Lawrence Patrick, 89, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021. He was born Sept. 23, 1931, in Canton, to the late Stephen Lawrence and Marie E. Patrick.
On Jan. 23, 2021, he was embraced by the arms of his loving Savior, whom he served all his life. While Richard was in seminary, he met his future wife, the late Ruby Nell Patrick, in a Sunday school class at the First Baptist Church in Fort Worth. They were married Dec. 21, 1952. After graduation, they moved to Youngstown, and founded the Bible Baptist Temple. Upon retiring in 2007, they moved to Chattanooga to spend the last 13 years with some of their children. They were members of Grace Baptist Church.
The people of Bible Baptist Temple would like to remember our beloved founding pastor with a memorial service Monday, March 8, 2021, at 6 p.m. The service will be held at the church he and his wife founded at 230 Lettie Ave. Campbell, OH 44405. There will be refreshments to follow.
