Rose M. Capriotti, 1929-2021

She was born April 22, 1929, in Niles, the daughter of Dominic and Carmella Buccino Sena.

A 1947 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, Rose later went on to work as a cashier at A&P for 20 years.

Rose was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, where she was active in the Blessed Mother Society and Young at Heart Society.

She enjoyed cooking and filling many wedding cookie tables with her delicious buckeyes.

Her husband, Mario “Mutt” Capriotti, whom she married Sept. 20, 1952, died Aug. 15, 1999.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Joyce (Mark) Tomerlin of Niles; her brother, Anthony (Sonia) Sena of Mission Viejo, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Matthew (Jamie) Tomerlin of Houston, Texas, and Jennifer (Jeff) Thomas of Niles.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Carmen Sena and Dominic Sena Jr.

Friends may call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles.

Social-distancing measures and mask wearing are required for all calling hours and services.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
