Homer R. Smearman 1928-2021
STRUTHERS — Homer Ray Smearman, 92, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at Mercy Health Hospital.
Born June 30, 1928, in Berlin, Pa., he was the son of the late Glenn and Gertrude Bowman Meese.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War.
Homer is survived by his wife, Leona Jane Crawford Smearman; sons, Randy Ray (Patty) Smearman, Terry Paul Smearman and Darrin Bruce Smearman; granddaughter, Jamie; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dale Dean Smearman.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, Pa. Interment will be in Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
