Mary Ruth Bryant 1949-2020

YOUNGSTOWN — Ms. Pauline Robinson, 60, transitioned to her eternal home Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Ms. Robinson was born Dec. 15, 1959, in Youngstown, a daughter of Wesley Robinson and Vatie Mae Robinson. She was a 1977 graduate of South High School.

An employee of Siffrin Company as a home health aide, Pauline enjoyed helping others. She was a member of Old Landmark, C.O.G.I.C. Pauline was in the missionary ministries. She worked in the hospitality department locally and in the district. Pauline served as the president of the Young Women Christian Council (Y.W.C.C.) She also served as a jurisdictional adjutant under Bishop Warren E. Miller and currently under Bishop Emitt L. Nevels Ohio West Jurisdiction. She served as the National Adjutant of the C.O.G.I.C.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her seven children, Allen of Arizona, Brittany and Brandy, both of New Castle, Pa., David of Youngstown, Monty, Sylviea and Monique, all of Cleveland; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Robert Harmon; and a sister, Mary Bryant, both of Youngstown; and a special friend, Vanessa (Williams) Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter.

Sadly, after the death of Pauline, her sister, Mrs. Mary Ruth Bryant, 71, transitioned to her heavenly home Saturday, Nov. 28 2020, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Mrs. Bryant was born Feb. 17, 1949, in Youngstown, a daughter of Hardy Kendrick Sr. and Vatie Mae Robinson. Mary was a 1967 graduate of East High School and was a licensed practical nurse. She had been employed with St. Elizabeth Hospital for 45 years, retiring in 2015. She was a member of the Phillips Memorial Baptist Church, its usher and mission ministries. Mary also helped at the Salvation Army and was a member of the Sisters Chat & Chew Book Club and Red Hat Society.

She leaves to mourn her passing, but to rejoice in her eternal peace, her daughter, Tamela Bryant; and granddaughter, Lindsey Wallace, both of Columbus; and her brother, Robert Harmon of Youngstown. Both Mary and Pauline leave behind a host of nieces, nephew, family, church family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, William “Booby” Bryant, whom she married Oct. 18, 1968, and who passed away July 11, 2005.

Mary and Pauline were also preceded in death by their brothers, Hardy Kendrick Jr. and William Artist; and sister, Edna Brooks.

Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, from 11 a.m. to noon at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home. Private funeral services will follow for the family. Due to the pandemic, all guests are asked to please wear masks and practice social distancing. For the health and safety of everyone, guests are asked not to linger at the funeral home after viewing.
