J. Scott Smith 1960-2020

Scott was born in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Carroll D. and Marilynn Moran Smith on April 15, 1960. He was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney Class of 1978.

He worked for DBI in its highway department, working in many different areas of the United States.

Scott enjoyed being with family and friends, always lighting up the room with his smile and sense of humor.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Marilynn of Boardman; his longtime girlfriend, Lori Tylinski of Pittsburgh, Pa., New York, N.Y., and Charlotte, N.C., with whom he made his home; and his dog, Max.

He also leaves behind his brother, Gary (Kathy) Smith of Pittsburgh, Pa.; his sisters, Tina (Ray) DiGaetano of Clearwater, Fla., Marnie (Joe) Luongo of Charleston, S.C. and Megan (Bob) Beam of Boardman. Scott was lovingly called Uncle Buck by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who adored him.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Carroll D. Smith.

A memorial will be held in the future when we can all celebrate his life.
