George Schewirey Jr. 1957-2020
YOUNGSTOWN — George J. Schewirey Jr., 63, of Youngstown, departed this world peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020, at home with his family by his side.
Born Jan. 2, 1957, George was the son of George and Elizabeth Schewirey. He attended South High School. After graduation George joined the Armed Forces.
George worked for the City of Youngstown for many years. He enjoyed his landscaping business and took on numerous construction jobs throughout his life.
One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchild.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother and stepfather, Elizabeth and Alex Panno of Youngstown; his sisters, Debbie Panno and Georgeann Rodriquez of Youngstown; his daughters, Tabitha Schewirey and Elizabeth Allen, both of Youngstown; his grandchildren, Steve, Anna, Nicholas, Raymond, Seaira, Giovanni, Bra’lin, Amare’ and Italy; a great-granddaughter, Autumn; and a host of nieces and nephews.
George Jr. was preceded in death by his father, George Schewirey, and his two nephews Christopher and Timothy Rodriquez.
