Errol H. Joseph 1926-2020

YOUNGSTOWN — Mr. Errol H. Joseph, 94, took flight to his eternal home Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020.

Mr. Joseph, affectionately known as “King O” and “Trinidad,” was born Jan. 16, 1926, in Port of Spain, Trinidad, a son of Louis and Hylda Branda Joseph.

A devoted Christian, Joseph was a member of the Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church, where he was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost March 12, 1989. Mr. Joseph had been employed with General Motors, retiring in 1969. He enjoyed doing home repairs, classical music and traveling (especially to Trinidad and New York), but most of all he loved being with his family.

He leaves to mourn his passing, but to rejoice in his eternal peace, his devoted wife, the former Addis Chapman, whom he married in 1967; eight children, June Theodore of Youngstown, Cheryl (James) Williams of Oahu, Hawaii, Donna Davis of Stow, Ralph Joseph of Kono, Hawaii, Desiree Harris of Canton, Richard (Kitye) Joseph of Peoria, Ariz., and Magna (Michael) Blackwell and Nicole (Alfred Jr.) Coward, both of Youngstown; 26 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillis Joseph of Youngstown; a host of nieces and nephews (some of whom he contributed to their growth); and other family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Ethel Ector, Vincent Joseph, Vera Parks and Sybil Gonzales; and two granddaughters, Rachel and Jesma Theodore.

Private services were held for Mr. Joseph Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020, at Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church.

Arrangements were entrusted to the L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home.
