Peter Carfagna 1939-2020
YOUNGSTOWN — Peter Carfagna, 81, died Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at home, after an extended illness.
He leaves behind his wife, Joyce Sefcik Carfagna; his stepdaughter, Christina Vitullo; and sister, Mary Kanotz of Youngstown.
Peter was born in Campbell, on March 15, 1939, a son of Silverio and Eugenia Campagiorna Carfagna and lived in Youngstown.
He went to The Rayen High School and was in the Marine Reserve from 1958 to 1964.
Peter worked at the Wastewater Treatment Plant for Youngstown for 29 years until retiring. He was a hard-working and caring man, always ready to help anyone in need.
He loved his family, his dog, Mazie and his cat, Pumpkin.
Peter was the brother of the late Albert and Joseph Carfagna, both of Youngstown, Nicholas Carfagna of Fitchburg, Mass., and Clement Carfagna of Douglasville, Pa.
A private family service was held for Peter at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
