Carol J. Garone 1940-2020

Carol was born Feb. 27, 1940, in Youngstown, a daughter of Paul L and Frances Musati Garone.

She was a 1958 graduate of East High School and went on to graduate from Lewis Weinberg & Hill School of Beauty, where she was a hairdresser for several years.

She then was a bookkeeper for 10 years at The Mansion Restaurant on Market Street and then worked as a secretary & receptionist for B&B Contractors & Developers, Inc. until her retirement in 2009.

Carol was a devoted caregiver for both of her parents. She loved to dance and was considered one of the best. She studied dance from the 1st grade to the 12th grade. She performed at school and in other shows in town including the Johnny Mathis show at Stambaugh Auditorium. She also twirled the baton at a Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers Football game in Cleveland.

Carol leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Patricia Pannozzo; her niece, Gina M. Pannozzo; her great-niece and great-nephew, Rocky and Trinity Sewruk; and her cousin, Richard Caruso of Cleveland.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her grandmother, Margaret Musati; her grandfather, Michael Garone; and her brother-in-law, Frank Pannozzo.

Carol has requested that there be no calling hours.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Tod Homestead Cemetery, Belmont Ave.
