MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Susanne Amy Suchora, 79, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020, from Lewy body dementia.
Susanne was born July 8, 1941, in Grove City, the daughter of the late Harold and Ann Faull Amy. She married Steven J. Suchora Aug. 26, 1961, resulting in a blessed and rewarding marriage for more than 58 years.
Susanne was a 1959 graduate of Boardman High School and worked as a secretary for the Youngstown YMCA, Youngstown Sheet and Tube, and the Meadville Mental Health Mental Retardation Association. She especially enjoyed teaching Sunday school at St. Luke, St. Barnabus and St. James churches.
She was a proud and loving homemaker and was always involved and supportive of her three children. Her passions in life were shopping, reading, Scrabble, puzzles, quilting, communicating with friends and family, her Scottish terrier and sheltie dogs and being involved with the activities of her three children, including horse shows, Girl Scouts, hockey and tennis.
She leaves behind to cherish and hold fondly her memory her husband Steven J. Suchora of Meadville; daughters, Stacey Ann Steiner (Harold "Sonny") of Linesville and Shelley Beth Aaronson (Sam) of Lewisberry; son, Steven Justin Suchora of Ruther Glen, Va.; three grandchildren, Lindsey, Logan and Maddisen; sister-in-law, Patricia Amy of Streetsboro, Ohio; and two nephews, Douglas and Johnathan Amy, both of Cleveland, Ohio.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John T. Amy; aunt, Ruth Faull; uncle, E. L. "Coddy" Faull; and nephew, Ted Faull.
Susanne's family would like to make known its thanks and appreciation for the many condolences and offerings.
Because of the outbreak of COVID-19, a private family service will be held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
The Suchora Family recognizes and appreciates the outstanding and heartfelt service of the Meadville Medical Center staff, the Crawford County Care staff, and all those at Hospice of Crawford County Inc.
