Anthony J. Anderson 1986-2020

YOUNGSTOWN — Anthony J. Anderson, 34, departed this life for eternal rest Thursday, March 5, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Anthony was born Jan. 24, 1986 in Youngstown, a son of William Hopkins and Lisa Colmon.

Anthony was a son, brother, father and uncle who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, skating, dancing and getting his picture taken. Anthony was such a character you couldn’t help but love him. He was the life of the party and brightened the room when he walked in. He was also a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was in the process of writing a book.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, William Hopkins; mother, Lisa (John) Colmon; sons, Anthony Anderson Jr. and Zytrell Boone; daughters, A’shante Anderson and A’vianna Anderson; brothers, Madison Colmon, Wesley Sanders, William Hopkins III, Carl Hammonds, Michael Hopkins, William Hopkins, Terrance Myers, Cailen Scott and Jawaun Carter; sisters, Tashayla (Stephen) Lunders, Tierra (Aaron) Agee, Latasha Colmon, Jaquala Mattison, Whitli Sanders, Sophia Buggs and Unique Hopkins; grandmother, Dorothy Hopkins; best friends, Eric Brady, Lamar Coleman and Dante Bebbs; godbrother, David Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anthony was preceded in death by his great-grandparents; grandparents, Huely and Mary Forest Jr., Pearl Forest and Green McCall; uncle, Keith Hopkins; and cousins, Anthony “Taboo” Hopkins and Johnathan “Jay 5” Cross.

A private funeral service was held at an earlier date.
