Paula Joan Kuzel 1938-2020

YOUNGSTOWN — Paula Joan Catherine Dunlap Kuzel, 81, went home to her Lord and Savior Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020.

She was born Nov. 19, 1938, in Morrisdale, Pa., the daughter of the late Jennie Gorman and William Baker.

As a young child, she spent a lot of time on her grandparents’ farm with doting aunts and uncles. Later, she would become an accomplished musician, playing several instruments and as a proud member of the marching band.

In addition to being a loving wife and homemaker, she was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Besides her family, Paula’s other great passion was her relationship with Jesus Christ. She professed her faith openly with family and friends. Her confession through her two and a half year battle with cancer was that the Lord had always been good to her and that she was blessed.

Paula enjoyed needlework, was a gifted seamstress, an avid reader and amazed people with her ability to engage in conversations about current affairs.

Paula is survived by Francis Joseph Kuzel, whom she married May 16, 1970. Together they raised nine children, who blessed them with 27 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was treasured by her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Frank, and children, Pamela (Tim) Coleman of Hebron, Md., Colleen (Joe) Leyland of Oklahoma City, Okla., Laureen Nolker of Baltimore, Md., Valerie Kinley of Winston Salem, N.C., Paulette (Jonathan) Moore of Boardman, Paul (Jeanette) Kaufman of Orangeburg, N.Y., David Kaufman of Canfield, Beth (Dwayne) Felger of Greenford and Michele (Duane) Cozadd of New Albany.

Her family invites you to join them 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, for a celebration of life at Grace Family Church, 4478 Boardman-Canfield Road, Canfield.

Arrangements handled by Heritage Cremation Society.

“Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband, also, and he praises her.” (Proverbs 31:10 & 28)
