Olga Tatalovich 1923-2020

YOUNGSTOWN — Olga Tatalovich, 96, formerly of Girard, passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at Park Vista Nursing Care Center.

Olga was born Sept. 21, 1923, the daughter of Nicholas and Anna Milanovich Metrovich.

She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Youngstown, where she had been the choir director. Olga had a passion for singing that began in her childhood. She had a beautiful voice that was enjoyed by many. Olga loved singing for the church, the USO and Youngstown Philharmonic choir, and was a Youngstown Madrigal singer.

She leaves to cherish memories of her, her children, Alan (Maggie) Tatalovich of Girard, Christine (Eugene) Baker of Columbiana, Melanie (Peter) Borkovich of Canada and Paula (Terry) Forrest of Newton Falls; a sister, Natalie Skarica of Farrell, Pa.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milan Tatalovich, whom she married Feb. 16, 1947, and died March 25, 2001; and her brothers, Rudy Mamula and William Metrovich.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22 at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 54 Laird Ave., Youngstown.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Olga will be laid to rest next to her husband in Belmont Park Cemetery.
