Patricia J. Novak 1934-2019

Patricia was born Sept. 19, 1934, in Youngstown, the daughter of Donald R. and Mary Catherine Gribbon Patterson.

Upon graduation from Ursuline High School in 1952, Pat married her high school sweetheart, William T. “Bill” Novak, on July 11, 1953, and made their home on Audrey Lane in Struthers for 53 years. Sadly, Bill passed away Dec. 30, 2017.

The Novaks belonged to St. Nicholas Church in Struthers for 72 years, where they were very active in the church festivals. Both were in the St. Nicholas Bowling League for many years and Pat was a longtime member of Homemakers League at the Holiday Bowl in Struthers.

Pat leaves to cherish memories of her, her children, Tom (Maria) Novak of Struthers, Terri (Carol Toth) Hohler of Strongsville, Suzie (Barry) Guy of Venice and Sandi (Tim) Yuhas of Venice, with whom she made her home for several years; her brother, James D. (Phyllis) Patterson of North Lima; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, celebrated by the Rev. Bernard Gaeta, at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 764 Fifth St., Struthers.

Family and friends may call 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.

Interment will take place in Lake Park Cemetery.
