William G. Setree 1947-2019

He was born in Youngstown on Dec. 23, 1947, to George William Setree and Wilma Young Setree Drake.

Tim was a 1965 graduate of Jackson-Milton High School, where he enjoyed and played on the school’s football and baseball teams. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and spent his entire career in the trucking industry.

Tim loved all Cleveland sports and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, as well as past master of the Meander Lodge of North Jackson.

Tim is survived by his mother, Wilma Drake of North Jackson; children, Todd (Hollie Scott) Setree and Jodie Setree, all of Austintown; grandchildren, Caitlyn Setree, Collin McBride and Braddick Singleton; sister, Susan Helmick of North Jackson; cousin “brother,” Robert Smith; former wife and good friend, Barbara Setree; three stepsisters; and nieces, nephews and other family members.

Besides his father, Tim was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Austin Setree, at birth; brother, Jackie Setree; stepfather, Jim Drake, who raised Tim; and brother-in-law, Kent Helmick.
