Police activity reported July 24-Aug. 1:
Aug. 1 -- Makayia Griffiths, 20, 658 E. Kline St., Girard, was issued a summons during a traffic stop on Fairground Boulevard on charges of drug abuse (marijuana) and drug paraphernalia (marijuana pipe and scale), and Shawn Jakubec, 22, of the same address, was cited for speeding (41 in a 25 zone).
July 31 -- Cody Robbins, 18, of Layton, Utah, was issued a summons on Jade Court for soliciting without a permit.
July 30 -- Jericho Hervet, 34, 14803 Hoyle Road, Berlin Center, was issued a summons during a traffic stop on West Akron-Canfield Road for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and was cited for a defective exhaust.
July 29 -- Kyle Hilty, 27, 7 Court St., Canfield, was arrested on charges of OVI and transportation of marijuana paraphernalia (THC Vape).
July 24 -- No citations or charges were filed following an eBike versus motor vehicle crash in the 100 block of Dartmouth Drive.
