Activity reported April 25-30:

April 30, 6:02 p.m. — Five spent shell casings were found on Maple Avenue near North Edgehill Avenue and the suspect fled the scene upon police arriving for a shooting investigation.

8:06 a.m. — A 2017 Kia Sportage had window and column damage after an attempted theft at 476 S. Raccoon Road.

7:23 a.m. — A 2021 Kia Sportage was stolen from 4525 New Hampshire Court.

April 29, 2:01 p.m. — Driver’s side tires were punctured on a vehicle parked at 4843 Westchester Drive.

12:45 p.m. — Semaj V. Lamarr, 23, of Columbus, was arrested on a Franklin County Municipal Court warrant for domestic violence and was cited for driving while under suspension. Damon R. Whitehurst, 22, of Columbus, was arrested on a Franklin County Municipal Court warrant for assault, following a traffic stop on Bexley Avenue on a vehicle suspected of being involved in a theft at a Dollar General store.

April 28, 6:09 p.m. — Christopher R. Hunter, 44, 3838 Robert Frost Drive, Austintown, was arrested on charges of domestic violence and strangulation.

5:16 p.m. — An unidentified man and woman pushed a grocery cart of goods totaling $127.17 out of Marc’s, 4755 Mahoning Ave., without paying.

12:44 p.m. — Sharon L. Holmes, 49, undisclosed address, was arrested on a Trumbull County warrant during a traffic stop on South Meridian Road.

April 27, 3:01 p.m. — Darrell K. Moore, 41, 823 Nancy Ave., Niles, was arrested on a charge of theft at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

7:07 a.m. — Christopher S. Robinson, 41, 228 Pritchard Ave., Lisbon, was arrested on a Mahoning County warrant for failure to appear following a call to 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road for possible drug activity.

6:36 a.m. — A home and business at 3342 S. Meridian Road was ransacked and a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe and guns were stolen.

1:10 p.m. — Eric D. Jones Jr., 28, 4611 Deer Creek Court, Austintown, was arrested on criminal trespass charges at Dollar General, 4381 Kirk Road, after previously being warned off the property in December 2023.

April 25, 2:15 p.m. — A theft scam for a puppy was investigated at 478 S. Raccoon Road.
