Police activity reported Dec. 15-24:

Dec. 24 -- Jennifer Mazzola, 39, 4420 Aspen Drive, Austintown, was arrested on charges of drug abuse instruments (syringe) and drug paraphernalia (glass crack pipe) following a traffic stop on North Broad Street.

Dec. 23 -- A 16-year-old Canfield boy was issued a summons to the Juvenile Justice Center for speeding (45 mph in a 25 mph zone).

Dec. 23 -- A 16-year-old Hubbard girl was issued a summons to the Juvenile Justice Center for passing in a no passing zone.

Dec. 21 -- Lex Prindle III, 28, 6092 Chidester Drive, Canfield, was cited for an improper turn following a two-vehicle crash on North Broad Street.

Dec. 21 -- Jordan Fletcher, 45, 10567 Butternut Road, Chesterland, and Justin Blewett, 27, 8222 Proctor Road, Painesville, were each issued a summons on a charge of theft following an investigation into a report of a construction company taking water from a fire hydrant without permission.

Dec. 20 -- Crystal Morrison, 41, 232 Sawmill Run Drive, Canfield, was arrested on charges for operating a vehicle while impaired following a call to Stratford Green regarding an intoxicated driver who drove up a private drive and partially onto the grass.

Dec. 18 -- A 17-year-old boy was referred to the Juvenile Justice Center for possession of drug paraphernalia following an investigation at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.

Dec. 17 -- Duke Pakalnis, 60, 4508 Alderwood Drive, Canfield, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired and was cited for failure to control following a one-vehicle crash at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.

Dec. 15 -- A 14-year-old Struthers girl was referred to the Juvenile Justice Center for drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia, following an investigation at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.

Police activity reported Dec. 5-10:

Dec. 10 - Christian Figueroa, 22, 1104 Mathews Road, Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired and was cited for following too closely, following a traffic stop on East Main Street.

Dec. 8 - Michelle Petruska, (no listed age), 55 Willowbend Drive, Canfield, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired and was cited for a marked lanes violation, following a traffic stop on Akron-Canfield Road.

Dec. 8 - Michael Tomko, 31, 155 Willowbend Drive, Canfield, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired in the 200 block of Carriage Lane.

Dec. 8 - The school resource officer responded to a report of a possible assault on a school bus at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, and after an investigation, it was determined that no crime was committed.

Dec. 8 - Andrew Hall, 18, 45 Robin Hood Drive, Boardman, was arrested on charges of obstructing official business, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct in a school zone after he attempted to board a charter bus at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive, for a school sponsored trip that he was not permitted to be on.

Dec. 7 - Clinton Scott, 46, 452 S. Broadway Ave., Salem, was issued a summons for driving while under suspension following an investigation into a report of an unknown person in a dumpster in the 400 block of West Main Street.

Dec. 7 - Officers provided mutual aid for the Ohio State Highway Patrol involved in a traffic stop at the intersection of North Broad Street and Hilltop Boulevard.

Dec. 5 - Austen Reiser, 28, 2487 Chaney Circle, Youngstown, was cited for a turn and stop signal violation, following a two-vehicle crash on East Main Street at Manor Hill.

Dec. 5 - Turan Baisden, 35, 14011 Idarose Ave., Cleveland, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property and driving while under suspension, and on undisclosed warrants out of Struthers, following a traffic stop on Boardman-Canfield Road.
