Hubbard police probe domestic violence shooting

HUBBARD — The Hubbard Police Department is investigating a domestic violence incident that escalated into a shooting during the early morning hours Thursday at a residence in the 300 block of Parish Avenue. Detective Sgt. Michael Banic said officers were contacted by a woman who reported that she had been physically assaulted by her boyfriend and that he fired multiple gunshots in her direction as she fled the residence in her vehicle. Trumbull water board discusses $3.2M maintenance plan

VIENNA — A proposed $3.2 million maintenance plan to bring the county’s seven water tanks up to code cannot be proposed to the Trumbull County Commissioners until a quorum is present. The 12-person Water Advisory Panel hosted a recent meeting at the Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer’s Office. McDONALD — Village council is seeking applicants to fill an opening on village council as Councilman Don Smith will be moving from the village after his final meeting July 15.
