BOARDMAN — Police are still investigating a shooting that resulted in a car crash over the weekend. A Boardman Police Department report states that while no one was killed, two women were injured in the incident. Girard board names new band director

Staff report GIRARD — The Girard Board of Education has named Jacob Benson as the new Girard High School band director. Benson was approved for a one-year contract at $45,400 on Monday and will handle duties as the marching band director. Benson replaces David Colella, who served 12 years as band director in the district and is leaving for a position with Aurora schools. Colella’s resignation is effective July 31.
