Commissioners offer sympathies on death of colleague Carol Rimedio-Righetti's spouse

YOUNGSTOWN — One of the Mahoning Valley’s longest-serving leaders is in mourning today, and her colleagues have made it clear that she will not grieve alone. Frank Righetti, 88, the husband of Mahoning County Commissioner and former Youngstown City Councilwoman Carol Rimedio-Righetti, died Wednesday after a long battle with cancer. Infant mortality summit gets grant

The Ohio Commission on Minority Health awarded a $15,000 grant to the Youngstown City Health District to support its Minority Health Infant Mortality Summit. The event is Sept. 18 at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in downtown. A Public Utilities Commission of Ohio judge will hear arguments Sept. 14 from the city of Youngstown and the Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel urging the commission to revisit its decision to greatly raise steam heat rates for most of downtown Youngstown.
