2 face fed charges in Cincinnati nightclub shooting
COLUMBUS (AP) — Two men arrested in connection with a weekend shooting inside a Cincinnati nightclub that left nine people wounded are facing federal charges.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 24-year-old Franeek Cobb and 29-year-old Derrick Long are each charged with illegally possessing a firearm or ammunition as a person convicted of a felony.
Cobb was arraigned on local charges of felonious assault earlier Tuesday at Hamilton County Municipal Court. Long did not appear in court.
Sunday’s shooting erupted inside Riverfront Live around 1 a.m., during a birthday celebration. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found nine victims with gunshot wounds.
Authorities have said all were hospitalized and are in stable condition.
