WHAT: September trustees meeting

PRESENT: John Jakubec, Alan Hemphill and Thomas Frost, and fiscal officer Judy Patton

Trustees:

● Approved a resolution to pursue a joint fire district among Jackson Township, Milton Township and Craig Beach Village.

● Approved retaining attorney and Western Reserve Joint Fire District fire Chief Chip Comstock to advise on forming a joint fire district. His charge is $5,000.

● Approved a resolution for Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) grant proposal rough draft from Fok & Associates, a consulting and engineering firm.

● Approved a Memorandum of Understanding from David Bakalar, engineer with Fok & Associates, for engineering fees for OPWC.

● Approved the amounts and rates determined by the county Budget Commission for the 2027 fiscal year.

● Approved the purchase of a 700-foot fire hose from All American Fire Equipment at a cost of $2,684.

● Heard fire Chief Mike Mortimer's report that Shaymie Hernandez and Greg Carbon are being moved to the rank of firefighter/EMT.

● Heard from Mortimer that the Jackson Township Fire Department will assist Craig Beach Village and Milton Township with medical services for Jackson-Milton varsity football games.

● Heard report from Police Chief Peter Rozzi that officer Rob Schaeffer will be attending the Individual Chemical Aerosol Instructor Course on Sept. 24 at Clark State College.
