YOUNGSTOWN -- Perstephanie Parker, 49, was set for arraignment Friday afternoon in Youngstown Municipal Court on two counts of felonious assault in an early Friday incident on Cassius Avenue on the East Side in which three women were stabbed.
A Youngstown police report states that officers were called to Cassius Avenue at 3:38 a.m. by Parker, who said two women cut Parker's hand after an argument about her brother broke out and the women charged at her with a knife.
If Parker is convicted of the charges, she could get more than 10 years in prison.
However, when police spoke with the two other women in a different house, officers were told that an argument did break out over her brother being in prison. The women told Parker she needed to leave and escorted her out of the house.
But Parker returned with a knife and tried to get back in. But while the women were trying to close the door, Parker got back inside and charged after one of the women. The other woman stepped in to stop Parker, resulting in that woman suffering a small laceration to her right hand.
The third woman said that on the third attempt to remove Parker from the house the two women started to fight with Parker until Parker stabbed the third woman in the chest. That woman is eight months pregnant, the report notes.
Parker was arrested and a knife on the ground near the front porch was collected as evidence, the report states.
Parker was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for treatment of her injury and then taken to the county jail. The woman with the chest wound was in stable condition at the hospital and said she was stabbed while trying to prevent Parker from hurting her mother. That is when she noticed that she had been stabbed, she said.
