New road closures in effect for I-76/80

The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced new road adjustments related to the Interstate 76/80 pavement rehabilitation in Austintown and Jackson townships.

• The ramp from Interstate 80 west to state Route11 south is now open.

• I-80 westbound between Salt Springs Road and state Route 46 will be reduced to one lane through mid-August.

• The ramp from I-80 west to Route 46 will be closed through mid-August. The detour will be I-80 westbound to I-76 westbound to Bailey Road to I-76 eastbound to I-80 eastbound to Route 46.

ODOT also is reminding motorists of the following continuing road adjustments related to the same project through late August:

• The ramp from Route 11 north to I-80 west is closed. The detour is I-680 south to state Route 711 north to U.S. 422 west to I-80 west.

• The ramp from I-680 north to I-80 west is closed. The detour is Route 711 north to US 422 west to I-80 west.

• The ramp from Route 46 to I-80 westbound is closed. The detour is I-80 eastbound to Salt Springs Road to I-80 westbound.

• I-80 east and west is reduced to two lanes between the Meander Reservoir and Route 46.

Estimated completion for the project is late October.

Also, starting Tuesday, the ramp from state Route 193 to I-80 west will be closed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. for pavement repairs. The northbound detour will be Route 193 to Tibbetts Wick Road to Route 11 south to I-80 west. The southbound detour will be Route 193 to U.S. 422 west to I-80 west.
