YOUNGSTOWN -- The criminal case against Jacob E. Hall, 34, of Yorkshire Boulevard in Austintown, was on the grand jury list Thursday with Hall indicted again on the same three charges -- improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or school safety zone with a firearm specification and two misdemeanor counts of aggravated menacing.
Hall was indicted the first time Dec. 11, 2025, in an incident at his home on Yorkshire Boulevard in which Hall was shot by an Austintown police officer. He survived the shooting, which was investigated as an officer-involved shooting by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
The investigation BCI carried out was turned over to Austintown police Feb. 9, 2026, but in March, the Mahoning County Prosecutor's office asked Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge R. Scott Krichbaum to dismiss the charges against Hall without prejudice, meaning they could be filed again, and Krichbaum dismissed the case.
Others indicted Thursday are:
● Ronald D. Justice Jr., 41, Meghan Circle, failure to verify an address.
● Robert Shepherd, 26, Kendis Circle, cocaine possession with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case and cocaine possession.
● James Bevly, 45, East Florida Avenue, being a felon in possession of a firearm.
● Paul M. Stowe, 34, Gaylord Avenue, Masury, two counts of grand theft.
● Christina Wenchowski, 40, Blossom Avenue, Campbell, aggravated drug possession.
● Daraeius Joy, 26, East Philadelphia Ave., being a felon in possession of a firearm and misdemeanor assault.
● Mark Burney, 61, Breaden Street, cocaine possession.
● William Adams, 34, Stoneybrook Drive, Hubbard, drug possession.
● Christian Lacey, 19, Roxbury Avenue, tampering with evidence, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, obstructing official business and unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance.
● Xavier T. Hile, 21, Mason Street, Niles, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and misdemeanor obstructing official business.
● Kyle Corea, 58, Lora Avenue, cocaine possession.
● Paulette Orr, 56, homeless, violating a protection order, misdemeanor aggravated menacing and misdemeanor criminal damaging or endangering.
● Christian Bonilla, 35, North Garland Avenue, felony assault, obstructing business and misdemeanor theft.
● Bradley W. Rogers, 44, Gifford Road SW, Warren, theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
● Chevar D. Mitchell, 38, Willow Drive, Boardman, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, OVI.
