WHAT: Board of education meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: Gerald Dubos, Jennifer Johnson, Joseph Sturm, Brian Wharry and Stephanie Yon

The board:

● Voted to place a 4.0-mill, five-year renewal for permanent improvements on the November ballot.

● Approved financial reports, list of bills and expenses paid, and payroll for May.

● Approved fiscal year 2027 appropriations and certificate of resources available.

● Accepted a donation of $500 for the Lowellville football program from Mangine Development, LLC.

● Approved the renewal of the commercial property, liability, umbrella, pollution and fleet insurance through the Ohio School Plan, Love Insurance Agency, and cyber insurance through Tokio Marine Cyber at an annual premium of $49,596 for the 2026-27 year.

● Approved a one-year contract for The Nutrition Group to provide food service management services to the district from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.

● Approved the 2026-27 Technology Responsibility Plan as submitted.

● Approved the following field trips: Overnight trip for the high school cheerleaders to attend cheer camp at the University of Akron July 10-12; and overnight trip for the fifth-grade students to attend Camp Fitch from April 28-30, 2027.

● Approved payment of $636.75 to parents/guardians of the following students in lieu of transportation: Connor Crilley and John Crilley, Ursuline High School; and Caroline Crilley, Giovanna Nolfi, Donato Nolfi, Benedict Donofiro, Cecilia Donofiro,Maria Circelli and Dominic Circelli, all Holy Family School.
