WHAT: Lowellville Board of Education July meeting
PRESENT: Gerald Dubos, Jennifer Johnson, Joseph Sturm, Brian Wharry and Stephanie Yon
The board:
•Approved financial reports, list of bills and expenses paid, and payroll for the month ended June 2026.
•Approved the following anticipated budget and sales project potential forms for volleyball: Snap Raise, August; Cocca's Pizza Rolls, September; and t-shirt sale, August.
•Approved use of the football fields, concession stand and restrooms for the Lowellville Little Rockets for a scrimmage Aug. 5, and games on Aug. 29, Sept. 19 and Oct. 3.
•Approved physicals for bus drivers Cheryl Kawecki and Nathan Christy for the 2026-27 school year and issued the driver certificate.
•Approved the K-12 student/parent handbook for the 2026-27 school year.
•Approved Superintendent Christine Sawicki as the approved evaluator for the 2026-27 school year for principals and assistant principals.
•Approved principals Tracie Parry and Jeff Hammond as approved evaluators for the 2026-27 school year for teachers and school counselors.
•Approved the 2026-27 bus and van routes as submitted.
•Approved the following breakfast and lunch prices for students and staff for the 2026-27 school year: K-6 breakfast, $1.50 (reduced rate is 30 cents); K-6 lunch, $3 (reduced rate is 40 cents); grades 7-12 breakfast, $1.50 (reduced rate is 30 cents); grades 7-12 lunch, $3.25 (reduced rate is 40 cents); adult breakfast, $2; and adult lunch, $5.
