Police activity in Canfield April 2-7:

April 7 — Steven May Jr., 32, 114 West Woodbine Ave., Youngstown, was issued a summons during a traffic stop on Boardman-Canfield Road for a violation of the transportation of marijuana in a motor vehicle and was cited for two headlights required.

April 6 — Report of a dog bite in the 400 block of Millbrook Street. The report was forwarded to the Mahoning County Public Health Board and the Mahoning County Dog Warden’s øffice.

April 4 — Jodi McClendon, 27, 3531 Hillman St., Youngstown, was arrested during a traffic stop on Boardman-Canfield Road on operating a vehicle impaired and open container charges and was cited for driving while under suspension and speeding.

April 2 — A 17-year-old Canfield girl was issued a summons in the 200 block of Callahan Road for unruly child after she was reported as a runaway and was located and returned home.

Giovanne York, 42, 501 Thompson Road, Conneaut, was indicted by a grand jury on charges of telecommunication harassment and violation of a protection order involved in a June 2, 2025, incident in the 100 block of West Main Street.
