WHAT: Board of education meeting March 26

PRESENT: Vincent Ragozine, Joe Castor, Scott Strain, Tammy King and Zachary Steiner

The board:

• Received a $10,000 donation from the Cafaro Foundation in recognition of the high school cheerleaders winning the state championship.

• Received a reupholstered weight bench and lat pulldown equipment at $1,650 from Soft Touch Furniture.

• Accepted the retirement resignation of Rene Esposito, effective June 30, as an instructional aide after 16 years.

• Approved the high school robotics team to compete at the Smokey Mountain Regional from March 18 to 21 and Miami Valley Regional from April 1 to 4.

• Approved the National Inventors Hall of Fame Camp Invention from June 29 to July 2 for children in grades kindergarten to fifth grade at Prospect School.

• Approved an agreement with Frontline Education for absence and substitute management at $12,081 with a one-time implementation fee of $5,040,

• Approved a one-year agreement with Orkin for pest control of insects and rodents for school district locations and board offices.

• Approved a NEOMIN Internet service contact for the Girard Stadium at $4,752 and for the board offices at $6,816.
