4 NEOCC inmates among indicted
YOUNGSTOWN — Four inmates at the Northeast Ohio Correctional Center on Youngstown’s East Side each were indicted Thursday on a charge of felonious assault with a repeat-violent offender specification, including one who was sent to prison for involuntary manslaughter and other charges out of Cuyahoga County.
They are Jonathan Sanchez, 20; David McCallister, 40; Roderick Coleman Jr., 23; and Blake Long, 33.
According to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction website, Sanchez was sentenced in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court to about 10 years in prison in 2023 on charges including aggravated robbery, kidnapping and robbery.
McCallister was sentenced out of Scioto County in 2024 to two years in prison for trespassing into a habitation and drug possession.
Coleman was sentenced out of Cuyahoga County in 2024 to about 20 years in prison for engaging in corrupt acts, participating in a criminal gang, involuntary manslaughter, aggravated robbery, receiving stolen property, kidnapping and tampering with evidence.
Long was sentenced out of Lucas County in 2023 to about eight years in prison for robbery and aggravated riot, according to the prison website.
OTHERS
Others indicted Thursday are:
•Curtis Warren, 35, Helena Avenue, Boardman, five counts of felonious assault and single counts of domestic violence, misdemeanor assault and child endangering.
•Michael Foley, no birth date available, felonious assault, misdemeanor domestic violence and two counts of misdemeanor violating a protection order.
•Jaron Mitchell, 35, Mahoning County jail, aggravated drug possession.
•Herbert Shelton, 44, Bennington Avenue, two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm, and two counts of aggravated drug possession, one count of cocaine possession and one count of heroin possession all with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case.
•Dylan Henderson, 20, Mahoning County jail, cocaine possession and L.S.D. possession, both with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case.
•Justin M. Luzier, 37, Mistletoe Avenue, two counts of aggravated drug possession.
•Annilisa Benson, 48, Mahoning County jail, cocaine possession.
•Maurice Briggs, 41, Mahoning County jail, three counts of violating a protection order.
•Troy Brue, 56, Hunter Avenue, tampering with evidence and cocaine possession with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case.
•Kristopher D. Ford, 38, El Ruth Court, Girard, failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer and obstructing official business.
•Randy Shipp, 37, Monroe Street, Campbell, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.
•Marcus Kennedy, 35, Goleta Avenue, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and obstructing official business.
•Aaron Clinkscale, 33, East Boston Avenue, obstructing official business.
•Justin Green, 35, Matthews Road, Boardman, aggravated drug possession.
•James Spitler, 27, Hoagland Blackstub Road, Cortland, aggravated drug possession.
•Giovanne A. York, 42, Richland Correctional Center, Mansfield, violating a protection order and misdemeanor telecommunication harassment.
