YOUNGSTOWN — The victim of a fatal head-on collision Wednesday afternoon on the city’s East Side has been identified by the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office as Kesha Tensley, 48.

The crash, which is still under investigation, occurred on Landsdowne Boulevard near Nair Street around 12:30 p.m. Tensley was driving south on Landsdowne in a red sport utility vehicle when it collided head-on with a northbound white SUV, according to the Youngstown Police Department.

A child in Tensley’s SUV was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and was in stable condition later. The driver of the white SUV also was taken to the hospital, the police report states.
