WHAT: Board of Education meeting March 10

The board:
•Approved financial report and investments, including cafeteria reports for the month of February.
•Approved a contract with PsyCare, Inc. effective July 1 through June 30, 2027 at a cost of $74,000.
•Approved an agreement with the Youngstown State University Beeghly College of Education to enhance the previous mentoring compensation.
•Approved an agreement with ACCESS for application services effective July 1 through June 30, 2027, for the aligning of Struthers City Schools cybersecurity and technology practices with the CIS (Center for Internet Security) framework to strengthen security standards and improve overall system protection.
•Approved an agreement regarding the Electricity Purchase Program with the Ohio Schools Council.
•Accepted an Ohio Attorney General’s FY26 School Safety Grant at $7,111.71.
•Approved a $188,217.87 transfer of the permanent improvement transportation facility fund to the permanent improvement fund.
•Approved the 2026 list of high school graduates.
•Hired Anthony Clinkscale as a volunteer baseball coach.
•Approved a field trip for an overnight summer camp at Ashland University for the high school cheerleaders attended by Meghan Dubos, head cheerleading coach.
•Renewed for five years the following administrative contracts: Frances Burrell, transportation supervisor, $47,936; Kevin Stoklosa, director of technology, $87,878; Yvonne Wilson, coordinator of diversion & safety, $44,607; Amanda Ford, coordinator of special services, $91,467; Carmen Lorubbio, buildings & grounds supervisor, $61,471; and Derek Janek, assistant technology, $37,791 (three-year contract).
•Accepted the following letters of resignation: Jacob Green, janitor technician at the middle school; Marko Morgan, bus driver; and Joetta Myers, cafeteria technician at the elementary school.
•Approved stipends for Micheal Colaneri for $1,568 for additional basketball duties and Micheal Duponty for $588 for additional basketball duties
