YOUNGSTOWN — A jury found Thomas Steele, 50, of Campbell, guilty on all counts Thursday at the end of a three-day trial on three counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge John Durkin presided over the case. Steele could get more than 10 years in prison when he is sentenced at 8:30 a.m. March 26.

According to Mahoning County prosecutors, the charges stem from allegations reported by a juvenile in July 2023 that Steele had inappropriately touched the victim and showed the victim pornographic videos.

The matter was reported to the Campbell Police Department, which conducted an investigation that led to Steele’s arrest and indictment.

In a press release, Mahoning County Prosecutor Lynn Maro credited the work of the Campbell Police Department and the efforts of Assistant Prosecutors Melissa Dinsio and Daniel Yozwiak in bringing the case forward and securing the successful prosecution.
